Forage Turnip Seed

While pigs and other livestock will enjoy the entire turnip, chickens prefer the turnip greens and may turn-up their beaks to the root. Turnips are a member of the brassica family, and their greens are high in protein, calcium, and vitamin K. Turnips grow best in cooler seasons, planted 1/2 inch deep in loose soil. Plant from fall to early spring and harvest in 60-90 days. Packet contains 50 seeds.
