Portugese Kale Seed

Only 1 available

This giant among the kale can get up to 24” tall and wide. Its structure more similar to a cabbage, and flavor similar to collards. Space seeds 24 inches apart, burying 1/2” deep in loose soil. Water daily. Plant a few seeds each week to extend harvest, rather than having all of your kale ready at the same time. While kale is susceptible to cabbage aphids, the aphids are another nutrient source for chickens to eat.

Kale is a Spring and early Fall crop, not frost-tolerant, and a poor performer in the heat of summer. 80 days from sprout to harvest. Packet contains 25 seeds.
